This Privacy Policy explains how ZEC-Pay processes information in connection with the operation of its payment facilitation service. ZEC-Pay is designed with limited data retention in mind. The service does not permanently store user data and aims to process only the information reasonably necessary to complete requested transactions, maintain service integrity, and respond to operational issues.
Effective date: March 21, 2026
This Privacy Policy applies to information processed through the ZEC-Pay website and related payment flow, including information submitted when a user creates or completes a payment request, uses an integration link, or contacts ZEC-Pay regarding the service.
This Privacy Policy is limited to the operation of ZEC-Pay itself. It does not govern the privacy practices of third-party wallet providers, exchanges, blockchain networks, internet service providers, analytics platforms, hosting providers, or other external services that may interact with a user independently of ZEC-Pay.
In order to operate the service, ZEC-Pay may temporarily process transaction-related information such as the payment amount, destination shielded address, payment memo, refund address, funding asset selection, deposit address, transaction hashes, timestamps, rate and settlement data, and other technical details required to create, monitor, and dispatch a payment.
ZEC-Pay may also temporarily process limited technical and operational data generated by the use of the website or payment flow, such as server request information, browser or device metadata, IP-related log data, and error or diagnostic information, solely to support security, reliability, fraud prevention, abuse mitigation, and troubleshooting.
If a user voluntarily contacts ZEC-Pay, the service may process the information contained in that communication, such as the sender's name, email address, and message content, for the purpose of responding to the inquiry and handling related follow-up.
ZEC-Pay processes information strictly for legitimate operational purposes connected with the requested service. These purposes include generating and displaying payment instructions, monitoring incoming funds, confirming network activity, performing conversion where applicable, dispatching shielded Zcash transactions with the requested memo, issuing refunds where necessary, and maintaining the security and continuity of the platform.
Information may also be processed to investigate technical failures, resolve disputes relating to service operation, detect or prevent abuse, enforce service terms, and comply with legal obligations to the extent such obligations apply.
Payment memos are processed only for the purpose of including the memo in the outgoing shielded Zcash transaction requested by the user or merchant integration. ZEC-Pay does not retain payment memos as part of a permanent record.
Any memo submitted through the service is cleared from the database as soon as the corresponding transaction has been dispatched. This means the memo is not kept in the service database after dispatch for archival, profiling, or long-term storage purposes.
ZEC-Pay retains transaction-related records only for a limited period reasonably necessary to operate the service, verify settlement, handle temporary issues, prevent abuse, and maintain short-term operational integrity.
Records relating to transactions are erased after 7 days. This retention approach is intended to minimize stored information while still allowing the service to address short-term technical and operational matters connected with recently processed payments.
ZEC-Pay does not permanently store user data. Information processed by the service is retained only for the minimum period reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and is then deleted in accordance with the applicable retention practice.
Temporary server logs and system-generated technical records may arise in the ordinary course of operating an internet service. Such records are not maintained as a permanent user database and are retained only as needed for security, diagnostics, infrastructure maintenance, and reliability purposes.
ZEC-Pay is not designed to maintain permanent customer accounts, long-term user profiles, or persistent user histories as part of its ordinary payment flow. The service is structured to facilitate individual transactions with limited retention rather than to build an enduring repository of personal information.
Accordingly, ZEC-Pay does not permanently store user data and does not use transaction information to build marketing profiles, behavioral dossiers, or unrelated commercial records.
ZEC-Pay does not sell user data. Information is not disclosed to third parties except where disclosure is inherently necessary to perform the requested transaction, to operate supporting infrastructure, to protect the service against fraud or abuse, or to comply with applicable law, lawful requests, or enforceable legal process.
Because blockchain transactions are broadcast to public networks, certain transaction details may become visible on the relevant blockchain in accordance with the design of that network. ZEC-Pay cannot control the independent retention or visibility of information that is recorded outside its own systems.
ZEC-Pay takes reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information processed through the service against unauthorized access, misuse, accidental loss, alteration, or disclosure. However, no internet-based service or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure in all circumstances.
Users should avoid including unnecessary personal information in payment memos, contact forms, or other free-text fields unless such information is strictly required for their own transaction purpose.
ZEC-Pay may operate through infrastructure, service providers, or personnel located in more than one jurisdiction. By using the service, users acknowledge that information may be processed in jurisdictions other than their own, subject to the operational and legal requirements applicable to the service.
If a user contacts ZEC-Pay directly, any information voluntarily provided in that communication will be processed only for the purpose of responding to the inquiry, maintaining the correspondence, and handling any related operational or legal follow-up.
Such communications are not treated as part of the ordinary transaction database described above, but they may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the matter raised by the sender.
ZEC-Pay may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the service, security practices, operational needs, or legal requirements. The most current version will govern the processing of information by the service from its effective date.
Questions regarding this Privacy Policy or the processing of information by ZEC-Pay may be submitted through the contact channel made available on the website.
